I put a disconnect switch on the negative side of my battery and in both positions of the switch i have power to the ignition. Any suggestions?

give us more info about the brand of the switch, new or old, a picture of the install be helpful

Brand new just bought it today from auto zone. Brand of switch is Duralast.sorry no pics. Never could figure out how to post pics to a forum.
I have it mounted to the fire wall and it is in the ground. I do have a block to frame ground if that makes a differance. |

If you have power to the ignition, then the battery is not disconnected. That's why we need a picture, so we can see what is going on. If the interrupt switch is open and there is still power to the ignition then you must have something that is bypassing the disconnect. The battery has to be grounded somehow. |
