Last winter I had to go on a rescue mission a ways back in the woods to recover an engine block from a 1945 MB. The original block I intended to use for my 2A restoration was severely cracked. (I still have it in storage for a future attempt at repairing). Nonetheless, I felt it was more than appropriate to use my 59 4WD truck to assist with operation!

If I were your neighbor, I'd volunteer to go out and help you any time you had to do something in one of those Jeeps!
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

Jerry
I found an internet photo recently that showed a vec 2A with the word "wellwood" on the side (near tool indents),
I see your jeep pictured at the airshow as the same word.
Is this the same jeep?
Were are you located? - home and airport
The picture I download was black and white, but you can tell it's pasture green with yellow wheels. Also, in the back ground was an old caboose and a freight house; are you fimiluar with this photo?
Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,
Yes, that was "Woody" in the pics.

I'm in Cheshire, CT and the photo with the caboose was taken in Middlefield, CT. The one with the Corsair was at a show I produced in Stratford, Ct called "Corsairs Over Connecticut". Woody is a 1945 CJ-2A #11802 and fairly rare, especially since he's un-restored and in original condition. Pasture green with Autumn Yellow wheels.
I learned to fly in New Haven (HVN), but Meriden Airport (MMK) is closer to me.
Thanks for looking at Woody!
Jerry

Nice Chris!
I'd always thought a matching set of Pasture Green and Harvest Tan 1945's would look good together. Maybe one day I'll get to the picnic in PA when you're finished with it!

Used the winch on my 3B, to drag the old water heater out of my cellar. This made pretending to be a plumber almost fun

I also used the jeep to pack down some Road mix In front of my shop.

I couldn’t agree more, any time I can add a jeep to whatever job is at hand it improves my mood

Whether it’s feeding some calves on a cold day with my wife, putting some seed down on a new pond bank or taking the grandkids on a mushroom/squirrel hunt, if you can work a jeep into it, it can be fun!!
