The book calls it a brake operating srping & bolt and the cast part that spreads the shoes is called a cam.
I just sold one about three months ago.  I am sure some one on  here will have an extra for you.

Its called the cam or brake operating link. Don't see it called out in the parts list. You could find one at the Reunion. Try a post in the wanted section.  Try Tony, Low, Harry Sheets or call Walcks. Think I might have one around someplace if no other luck. Have to look to be sure.

Willys really screwed up the listings for this part.  Part numbers crossed-up and/or omitted.

Group 24-01:
  • p/n 640680 - LINK, emergency brake operating lever (.1892 OD x 3 11/16 length., no. 12-28) - 1st. ed.
  • p/n 640680 - LINK, emergency brake operating lever - 2nd. ed. (illustration shows it as the return spring wire link)
  • p/n A-10334 - LINK, emergency brake operating lever - 3rd. ed.
1st. ed. manual has the correct dimensions, wrong part number

2nd. ed. has the wrong part number & wrong illustration.

3rd. ed. manual part number is correct.

Ok ..Thanks Sean
See it now Embarrassed.  It wasn't numbered or called out in the illustration so I refered to the description in the mechanics manual. It would be nice if they had the parts of that assembly grouped closer together in the list.
