Too bad it won't see production Cry.  Gotta love the portal axles, I wasn't aware Mopar made any.  I'd never pay 12K for an axle though.  Yikes

This is the one they should have put into production. If they had there'd be one sitting in my garage right now. 2005 concept Gladiator.

Check the drawer under the spare tire.

I've never been a fan of the FC but that thing looks awesome.  Put an Alaskan on the back and BOOM.......ultimate earth dweller.

I really like the J-12 pickup concept that was also unveiled yesterday:

I think it looks more like a Mercedes Unimog than a FC.

What would the use of that little door be on the Gladiator?

Probably loading things on the floor of the backseat, long things that would fit in there, and maybe they have the tool kit for changing the tire there.

I want that set of wheels on the J-12 !! (if I can't have the whole thing....uh, and the gearshift knob)

Thought it was cool they put the bottle opener on the FC.

I think they could sell the crap outta those J-12s though.

Small door handy to reach a cooler on the inside, right? lol

Cool concepts - wish they would actually build some of them as I bet
they'd sell - probably surprise them a bit with how well too!

Larry - were you aware of this?
Jeep JK8

Rather than offer the Wrangler Unlimited Pickup Truck as a regular production vehicle, Chrysler’s Mopar division is selling a $5,499 kit that lets ambitious owners, or their local dealer, do the conversion.
The JK-8 Kit comes complete with steel body panels, a fiberglass hardtop, sport bar extensions and, perhaps most important, a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. It is only available for the long-wheelbase, four-door Unlimited version of the Wrangler

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2011/07/20/jeep-has-new-pickup-line/

I'll bet Mike Gardner can set you up with the Unlimited and kit.

I'd buy a J12! Those look really close to the original Gladiator pickups.

I like the FC concept. Kind of like the Euro Unimogs and Pinzgauers that we see from time to time while camping in Death Valley, but with the more stylish Jeep touches.
