Hi looking for imput from you guys. I know she calls for straight 30 weight. Has anyone found something better to use or should I just stick with the 30. As l ways I appreciate any constructive responces. Thanks in advance.

I tried 30 weight, then went to a Penrite 20W-60, its great and is a multigrade that intended for use with older engines, great idle oil pressure.

Google "Penrite" and see how you go.

I have read quite a number of members here recommend Rotella T 15W40.

The guy who did the machine work on my motor said to use the diesel Delo 15-40

What ever you us make sure its a High Zinc content or your cam and tappets will suffer.

Penrite is a Gizillion parts per million, approx. Zinc, give or take a few

X3 on the Rotella 15w40,I was running the non-detergent 30 but the oil pressure was really low in the summer. The Rotella got me a few more psi when hot and it seems like some of the oil leaks might have slowed down. Hoping it will get me a few more years before I gotta do a full rebuild. Also did the extensive reading
