After deciding dirty air killed my engine, I want the new girl to breathe fresh air. I ran a cheap aftermarket cleaner in sandy conditions. This time around I snagged a M38 cleaner. I guess I'm just wanting some input. Original oil bath m38 cleaner with a good precleaner, or replace oil bath with a paper filter in conjunction with a good precleaner...has anyone done this? Grabbed this pic of off G503

What ever you do, don't hack or modify an original M38 aircleaner. The original oil bath set up will work just fine by the way.

I wouldnt think about cutting this up, just wondering the benefit behind oil bath and paper. My guess would be ease of maintenance? I dont know the value, I got lucky and mine was mounted on a rusted out 47 in a local salvage yard. I bought the whole jeep for the cleaner
