Dukey,

We have three Willys with PTO winches mounted.  One of our goals was to mount them so that they do not need bumper extensions / frame extensions to mount them.  We have mounted both Koenig and Ramsey winchs without needing them.

We have also used both the standard bumper or the Koenig winch bumper.  They work fine.

This is a factory Koenig bumper on a 1948 Lefty.  I am having trouble loading pictures of the 1946 with the Ramsey PTO Winch.Image result for mighty mo flat fender frenzy

I just built my front bumper for a Warn 8274. I will look for the pics, but they are in my build thread. I'm working on the rear bumper as we speak and should be done this week at the latest.

Those sure look good. Is your fair lead mounted behind the bumper?

Yes, you can't hardly tell, but the Warn 8274 is mounted and the fairlead will be coming out of the bottom portion of the bumper, from behind the license plate holder. Its all complete, but taken back off the frame. That's what I do, put things on and take them off. I will be completing the finished Jeep this month hopefully and it will be a big relief. Well never really done.

That looks like a lot of extra steel on the frame.  You have that 4.3 V-6, but you don't have any extra payload available.  You only get 800 lbs. to start, and every lb. you add to the Jeep takes that much from your payload--unless you've upgraded the axles and springs.  If you've done that, then forget what I said.
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

There is a lot of extra steel on the frame. Not to worried about load. dukey, I am trying to get the rear done today. The front bumper is kind of covered pretty good in the build thread for this Jeep. But, when I started to assemble the complete rig (hopefully soon) I will shoot some new ones. They are both going to get Raptor lined, in smooth texture.

I whipped this one up using the stock bumper, a generic winch plate and some tow points from Ruff Stuff.

A couple photos of my latest iteration of my 3B bumper.  It will mount either the 8274 or the older Warn/Belleview winches.  The original modified version used the stock Warn shafts and rollers on the fairlead but I bent  the bottom shaft, no doubt doing one of my reverse pulls.  This version uses 3/4" 4140 roller shafts.  I machined the rollers out of acetal copolymer with tight clearance between the roller ends for use with synthetic line.

Take a look at my CJ3A for sale on the CJ3A page, (by Holdmybeer).   It's a reproduction bumper but i inserted the fair lead identically to the original one that was in place but mangled when I got it.   I can send you an image of the original if you don't find one elsewhere.

Got the rear tire carrier and bumper back from sandblaster today and primed. Now going to have to wait a bit to get the Raptor liner on it. Pictures when I do.
