I found this little guy lurking in the underbrush today. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet as it's now trailer #3 but I couldn't resist dragging it home. I'm told a uniform truck backed into it some years ago which didn't help the bodywork any.....

Big "ouch" on the LH side, but overall appears to be in better shape than the 2 I have pulled home the past couple years. . . good to know it was saved from a possible bad fate.
Love these trailers!

Exactly, Looks like it was in pretty good condition other than the body damage.
Hard to find hitch and original tires to boot!

I spent a year trying to find an original coupler for my other trailer and couldn't at any price until Lowenuf graciously hooked me up. And I was wondering about those tires. Do you think they really are original?

See if they are Firestone Deluxe Champion 6.00-16s
If so that is what they came with from Bantam. The tread sure looks like it...

I just checked. They are! And in surprisingly good shape for 60+ year old rubber. Some minor cracking but not the typical dry rotted mess you'd expect to find around here. |
