    Posted: 10 Mar. 2017 at 3:51pm
Hello,
Does anyone have a pattern or detailed pictures of the control leaver placed between the seats and the control rod for a Newgren lift that they are willing to share?  It would be greatly appreciated.  I may end up with enough original and reproduction parts for a second lift which I plan to sell or trade at a later date.
Thanks!
Willis

Hi Treeguy,

I'm going to need one of these for my set up eventually, so if you are going to manufacture more than one, could you please keep me in mind and make one for me?

Thanks !

Quentin

Hi Quentin,

I will keep you in mind for sure.  Let me know if you find any leads on an original to copy.

Thanks!

I've got what I believe to be an orig. lever and the angle bracket that it mounts to. This is the lever that mounts between the seats. Pretty basic stuffed think a tape measure and some pics would be about all that's necessary. Somewhere I have a sketch I made of the rod that goes back to the valve by crawling under a Newgren equipped CJ. Kevin

Sorry if it is wrong. Just trying to help a guy out, my bad!
It sure looks like the NEWGREN install sketches I have from Farm Jeep and it came out of an early original 1946 ???

My rod is exactly like what is in the diagram.  The part past the "hump" is straight with a 90 degree bend on the end that fits in a hole on the control lever.  I've got some good pictures somewhere.  New puppy here and I'm finding it hard to get things done.

I'll do a search later and post.  Also, think it should be easy to reproduce.

I made mine front drawings and measurements provided by cheapjeep.

I did modify the bracket a bit to suit a need inhad.

I'll have my jeep at the spring reunion if you'd like to take a look.

Yes. I should have been more specific. The only part of yours that doesn't look right is the angle iron bracket above the floor with the angled slot/tab cut in it as a shift detent.

Hey Keith,
I believe the bracket I have may have been a different early design or different vendor maybe? It is mounted to the original floor section from the JEEP and there are no additional holes for a different bracket.

Mine looks like the one in Quentins pic. Except it has a different knob. Mine isn't even angle iron just a piece of steel that was bent to about 90 deg. Other than that a piece of rod welded to a piece of flat stock.

I'll have my jeep at the Spring Reunion and will be happy to remove the lever and rod for those who want to take pictures or make a template.  I can't find my pictures with dimensions.  If you can't make the Reunion or don't want to wait, I can pull it and take pictures and measurements again.

I'm very confident that it is correct and original

I made mine with a detent to avoid it being hit and accidentally being lowered.

Hey guys, this is what I believe to be an original handle bracket for my newgren. I don't have the handle unfortunately. Hope the pics come thru. Let me know if anyone needs more pics. Bob
