Has anyone here mounted a Unity or similar style/brand spot light in their Willys. especially in a CJ-3A windshield frame on the left side.

I have one the chrome is crap but the mechanism and the bulb works I been thinking about stripping it and painting it Black or maybe having it Powder coated with Eastwoods Extreme Chrome Bonded Powder by a local shop.

I been thinking about mounting it in the windshield frame (I might have to make an angled adapter) so I can operate it with my left hand. Its the style spot light that spins around and tucks up tight when not in use.

Just wondering if anyone else has put one on their Willys or bought a Willys with one.

My '48 has a hole in the w'shield panel where one used to be, I have considered putting one back on there, rather than patching the hole, since I have one I could use. I intend to restore my jeep to the way my Dad and his working colleagues may have modified it in their early 20's during the early 1950's, and the spotlight would fit right in. Plus, I wouldn't have to patch the hole. Thumbs Up   BW
It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Hey Mark
My Dads 3a with an artic top has a nice little spot light on the LH side,it's really neat and still works.
There's some pics in my FLATFENDER SATURDAY thread in photo and stories. Page three of my thread.
I think one would be a great addition to your amazing jeep.

Mark, my '47 has an added plate and mounting hole on the lower left side of the windshield - where the spot light used to be. Long gone by the time the Jeep came to me.
