February: Dirty Turtle Off-Road w/jpet. This was these were the first miles on my restoration odometer. The night before, I picked up the famous APU Jeep.

April: Wheeling at Redbird Off-Road, IN.

May: Rebuilt the APU Jeep in 4 days and made its debut. The crowd loved it.

July: Attended the Hueston Woods State Park, OH event. One of the coolest things I've ever done.

August: Toledo Jeep fest for the 75th anniversary.

August: Made the cover of The Dispatcher. A great achievement I'm most proud of.

August: Picked up the "submarine Jeep" with the M151 drivetrain.

September: Wheeling at Badlands Off-Road, IN. If you're not stuck, you're not having fun.

October: Exploring near campus.

October: Car crush!

Slow year for me! Had a left knee replacement in June, so until the end of August, I couldn't drive Woody much. I recovered a three-wheel Szekely USN APU jeep, Sold the MB and drove to a Jeep rally.

Recovering a rare O.E. Szekely Co, APU in Foxboro Mass. in May.

Bought a CJ-2A/MB and shipped it to
North Carolina for my cousin Phil.

Went to a The Great American Jeep Rally in Ellington, CT in September and met up with  one of my former Column Shift Jeeps now owned by a friend!

1946 & 1945 Column Shift CJ-2A's that for a time, shared my garage!

Saying good bye to "Buzz", my 1945 MB in July. Sold it to a friend one town away and he's been lavishing it with some  much needed hands on time!

Great pictures everyone! This is one my favorite threads yet.

Jerry, if you buy a Jeep but sell another, does than mean you're not in trouble? I'm working on my excuses.

Well, I'm new here, but I had a great year having picked up my non-running Willys in July.

Pulled the original motor and realized it was going to be a long road to recovery.

ended up swapping in an F-head, which fired up for the first time on Christmas eve.

I still have a ton of little things to do, but it fires up, idles, and has driven short distances like there was never a lack of a heartbeat.

A few projects on the horizon:
- Disc brake swap inspired by Metcalf and others. Here's my brackets which seem similar to others I've seen:

- rear tire carrier
- 12v swap (already have alternator, battery, coil, and a few other bits)

Nick,
I actually mis-spoke when I mentioned selling the MB.
It was actually my wife's MB!
I guess some of you just wouldn't believe me if I sad it was hers!Smile
She's awesome!
