This comes up now and then on the baord. Book and purests use 90wt gear oil.-hint--
it leaks-. Some of us use greese. If you decide to use grese I recomend packing the upper and lower barrings as you would your wheel barrings. Oil will seap into the lower ones and splash to lub the upper ones. Steam cyl Oil! Got to work great but where do you get it? I know this type of oil has a short use life if used with steem but how about a cold life. Bill
