I have steel and rubber fuel lines and they do not appear to be close enough to exhaust to be effected. I have tried 3 different coils and I have a resistor on the firewall between ignition key switch and the coil. This is a brand new fuel tank under drivers set. The exhaust manifold heat cotrol valve swings freely up and down until it gets hot and then stays in the up position. I have replaced the original Carter carburetor with a new Solex carburetor thinking that was the problem. Replaced distributer with a new one. None of these have stopped the problem. It will start easily and runs like a sewing machine for 15-30 and then sputters like it ran out of gas and stops. It is not runing hot staying at 180 degrees. Any help would be appreciated because I have run out of ideas and it is driving me NUTS! Thanks.
