Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

Thanks George-- I spoke with Herm and am ordering a new overdrive unit and kit from him. I have done an extensive search and found there is really no ring/pinion for the Dana 41 that justifies the expense (for the change in performance). I don't think I have read anything negative about the OD units. The install appears to be fairly straight forward. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress-- thanks.

Chris

: If you could find gears for the dana 41 and the dana 25, they'd run around 600. Then getting them installed would be around another 600.

: An overdrive would be less than that and easier to install. What's better, is that when you sell your jeep you pop off the overdrive, sell the jeep and sell the overdrive as a separate unit.
