Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

THANKS FOR THE IDEAS!! before reading any of the posts i had allready removed the head. sat out in the garage thinking of how the remove the plug. to answer the question someone asked the only part of the plug left in the head was the threads, ceramic nut that you would put the plug wrench on all gone with the wire. got depressed went to the home depot walking around and found a screw extractor $3.98 took it home twisted the rest of the plug right out!!! new plugs fit in perfectly no problems. yeah!!

are my valves stuck?
after removing my head i noticed that two of the valves are up and look like they are covered in carbon while the other six are even with the top of the engine. shoudnt one of the two valves next to each cylinder either be up or down?? i hope this is not some really basic how an engine works question that you all knew by the first grade. this is the first engine i have torn down other than the four cyl boat motors that i raced and the have no valves.
thanks
