I know there are kits out there to repair cracks but does anyone anywhere actually re-cover? My wheel is solid other than the crack but it is pitted pretty good in the plastic. Should I just fix the crack and repaint? My restoration isn't to be like factory new so a little character won't hurt. Opinions from anyone? I too have read about the do it yourself kits. Seems if you follow the instructions most but not all a happy in the end. I have to assume it how you read the instructions. Thier are a few who restore and like the kits have read mixed reviews. If you get or can get a copy of Hemmings they are listed in the services section. I woun't recomend any as I have not used them. From a cost point I bougnt a repo. I prefered the OD military type (black used on early 2As) Price then was around $80.00. You saw mine. Only thing I don't like is the OD color is easy to chip. The large repo plastic wheels are available but don'e know the current cost. You have a wide range of choices. Bill
