Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

The oil level should only be about half way up in the gear box. A window should be half full as you look in. If you fill up to the top where the slide rails are it is too full.
Hope this helps,
Keep on Jeepin.

: Hey Guys I have a t-90 transmission that oil comes out of the shift tower slide rail holes. I have tried freeze plugs but the oil gets passed the slides and then oil builds up pressure and gets passed the plugs and then runs down along the sides of the transmission. I was going to try and find a rebuild kit for the tower but not sure if the shift tower case would be wore enough that it would still leak and the best thing to do is buy a new shift tower. Thanks for any help that anyone could give me Pat
