Posted by Karl_46_CJ2A on July 15, 2005 at 09:26:05: Hello, Just rescued my first CJ2A with the hope of putting her back the way she came from Willys in 1946. Right now she runs and drives but needs help. My front axles have selectable hubs which have no name on them but look just like the "Selectro" hubs I had on my M715. When I make a turn in 4wd both knuckles make a poping sound. I took the drivers side hub off and pulled the axle. It has what I belive is a Bendix style joint. With the axle installed in the housing but the hub removed I can pull the outer axle shaft back and forth almost an inch! That doesn't seem right. Is there a cure or do I need new axles? I can't find Bendix axle shafts anywhere. Can I use the Spicer type axles? Thanks for any help and for the great website! Karl
