Items needed for valve adjustment: 2, 1/2" open end wrenches. .016" feeler guage. 6" piece of coat hanger formed. Gasket scraper. New valve cover gasket or High Temp RTV.

Remove spark plugs and valve cover. Bring #1 piston to top dead center (use coat hanger to feel for piston a top dead center). #1 and #4 piston will both be at top dead center. When bringing #2 piston to top dead center #3 will also be there. Use 2 wrenches to adjust valve tappets. Remember, Righty/loosey, Lefty, Tighty
