: : I have seen several ways of attaching the data plates to the firewall and dash board... what is the "accepted" way of attachment, is it sheet metal screws, pop rivetts, or something else?

: : Thanks,

: When I brought my 48 home, the data plates were put on with screws, however I spent several weeks getting a title for my cj with Dept of Public safety In SC, and the Hwy patrol was required to come inspect the jeep and plates, they made me put pop rivets in the serial plate to approve it....

Thanks, Glenn I sort of figured that was the case... all of the rivetted ones that I have seen are pop-riveted, and pretty recently at that.

thanks,

MB
