: Have you tried just getting someone to pull you with a tow strap in third gear?.....It should break loose.

Dear gbh, Sam, and rocnroll,

I tried pulling the Jeep tonight, and unfortunately it didn't break loose the clutch. I tried it in all 3 gears. I have been having to start it in gear to move it around since it stuck and nothing seems to help. I put the bumper against a tree and tried to start it, but nothing can get it loose.(and yes I always have had the clutch pedal pushed in when I've tried all these methods.) I appreciate your ideas, but I'm afraid I might as well pull the engine out and see what's going on in there...A couple of people that should know, have said it's easier to pull the engine out instead of having to work under the Jeep to pull out the tranny, etc. Any thoughts? Anyway, thanks again...I'll try to let you know what I find.

Ray
