The M-38 Artic top in question will also fit the 2A and MB without modification. My last 2A came with one, which I ultimately wound up throwing away since I couldn't even give it away with over a year of trying.

They are without question, the best made hardtop for an early jeep, and very warm too. But if you think an early CJ is loud with a soft top on it....YIKES! In the summer, the doors lift off, but it is still too warm for comfort.

Mine also had the vertical windshield frame that went with the top. It looked like an M-38 or CJ-3A frame, but it was literally a 90-degree angle to the cowl. All the aerodynamics of a cinder-block!

: The military Arctic top was designed to fit the m-38 with the 3A style windshield. without modification it will work on M-38, the 3A, and the 3B.

: I understand the civilian arctic top for the 2A came with its own non-Willys windshield. I assume that the civilian arctic top operated indentically to the military one on 3As and 3Bs, by simply repositioning the windshield to the verticlal position. In my opinion at least the military arctic top is probably the finest hard top made for jeeps. in my view it is a very serious looking hard top.

: Here's one on a 3B. Look at the size of the door and window.
