They have a 'foot plate'- appx. 1"x2" extending rearward and have a bolt through the deck. The front legs are more like 'tabs' and slip frontward under a formed slot in the deck. I've only had this unit a short while and can only assume this seat is of original configuration.

Your seat has been tampered with. The front legs are correct but the rear legas are incorrect.Someone removed an odd shaped iron extension and installed the "foot plate". It should bot be there.

Go to the CJ3B Page and search for "rear seat" There is an article which shows and will explain the rear foot connection to the floor.It requires no bolt and can be jerked up and out of its rear socket. Hard to explain but I think you'll see how it works in the article.
