hey, make it easy on yourself and use rubber. I';ve used it for 30 years and have no 'cons' to report.
It's a lot easier to thread between other pieces and parts and you dpon't have to mess with fittings for the most part. 1/4 in. line works great. I also like to place a clear plastic filter in-line just before the fuel pump.
