William Whatley of Albuquerque, New Mexico bought this 1946 CJ2A for a dollar!
"On December 08, I purchased for $1.00 the early 1946 CJ2A with Body
and Serial number 19992. It carries matching ID plates on right firewall,
on left front frame exterior and on the dash. It also has the tool
indentations on the drivers side and is equipped with the military16" tires.
It was originally harvest tan in color but has since been painted desert
tan and it has virtually no rust. It runs a little rough, has the
OEM Carter carb, and the hand brake does not work. It has
no PTO and it needs the windshield wiper for the drivers side.
It has been in storage for many years in a barn in north-central NM."
Sharp-eyed readers can see a tip o' the hat to Hee Haw. The number on the bonnet is "BR-549".
