Is anyone here familiar with the power lok rear units? If so can you tell me about the axle spacer buttons and the roll pin they mount on that goes thru the center of thecarrier to hold the axle shafts out enough to where you can adjust the axle bearing preload? I got a unit and installed it only to find out it was missing these buttons..so i ordered a set of the buttons or spacers as some manuals call them and the roll pin and tonight when i installed them they fit loose in the carriers center cross hole, and the pin seems to long as it holds thebuttons heads out from the center cross about 1/9" or so. It just dont seem or feel right to me being loose fitting in the hole and not coming together for a snug fit to the center cross, the way it is it would seem that the axles would basicly be against each other thru these buttons yet float side to side the amount they are out from the center cross, which would seem the axle bearing preload would be against each other rather then against the solid center carrier. Now having said this, in the standard open dif i guess the center cross spacer is also a loose fit to the center pin or it was on my worn out unit that i removed...so are they supposed to float side to side a bit or come together solidly in the center? thanks for any help.

Thank you for that link I think it kinda answered my questions. I was having no luck searching for it on google. The only thing it did not resolve is in that artyicle it says there is steel balls on the end of the spacer buttons, but my parts book dont show them nor did the diagram where i bought the button kit from so i am guessing that some applications had the balls and some did not. but the loose fit and coming together solid in the center appear to be correct. i will assemble it tomorrow and see how it goes i guess. thanks again.
