I have had this unit in the garage for years. I think it came out of a IH early Dana 30 since I bought it from a scout buddy. Since it had 10 splines inside diff, i figured I would find a home for it. Therefore I'm thinking it could? fit in a Dana 25 if I decide to go that route.
Will it work? Don't know if a IH Dana 30 is compatible to a Jeep Dana 30 or a 25. Is it indeed a limited slip unit of some sort? There are some numbers on the outside of the case as seen on the 4th picture. 48 74.?(8) 22488X. Eitherway, I doubt that it will work with the lower gearing in the front axle unless we get lucky. Please help me out guys and girls. Thanks!

Check with Hermtheoverdriveguy.com
I know there was some sort of adapter for Dana27 to fit in a Dana 25 or vise versa.

Dana 27 into a 25, ring gear spacer, about 1/8" or so off the top of my head, can not remember exact distance. So the kit is the spacer, shims, bolts & bearings, we used to sell the spacer for $20.00 at the shop. We did not recommend it, but had it for the people who did not want to spend the money for another carrier.
We also had spacers & bolts to change series, mainly for the Dana 44.
