JPET came to the rescue Monday by fabricating a few parts for a unique project car. The reveal was scheduled for March 5th, but the moment it was rolled out of the truck a crowd started to form. Many thanks to JPET for a job well done.

It's a bit off topic for this page, but I wanted to share how thankful I am for good friends.

Different I guess so, but very cool.
WHATSIT? 50s Concept Car, 50s Custom, or just someones dream project? The only recognizable part I see is the 1958 Ford gold plated hood scoop that is backwards on the dash with some sort of a screen inside. What is the power plant Batman or a Joe Friday?

That is actually George Barris's most famous Kustom Kar, the Golden Sahara II.
His most famous Movie car was the Batmobile. (Those are Barris's words, not mine.)

Yes, Joe Friday is driving it.

I'll post links to the press releases tomorrow night Geneva time.

Good call on the Ford hood scoop!

I appreciate Keith’s gratitude but I didn’t really do much for it. I think it’s a part for the blinkers or driving lights?

Schweet ride!

Well Jeff, I think you may be underestimating your contribution.

This is the Autoweek article released tonight regarding the vehicle, and your contribution is sticking right out of the front bumper on the front of the radar braking system.

Jeff P. has always been a very humble contributor to our auto hobby. He is a generous and extremely talented individual that always goes the extra mile when called upon and I am truly honored to have made his acquaintance.
He was already my man crush but now he is my Golden Sahara Hero. You go Jeff LOL       You Da JPet Man! Your the best Bud!

P.S. I will be sure to keep my hands to myself when I see you at the WILLYS Reunion

I didn't specify what it needed to be made from. I just sent him a picture...

PS - There were 147 articles written on the GSII in the last 24 hours since it was revealed.

Hey Jeff,

Your handywork on the Golden Sahara has been front and center on MSN Autos .
It was voted second best car at Geneva behind a 30 million dollar Bugatti.
