I am looking at a 1954 3B. It is a 3B has it has the high hood. The engine is a L134 though. I noticed a 4th lever in the pictures. I asked what it was assuming PTO or overdrive and was told it was a posi. In their words, 'No when it is in 4x4 and that leaver is down one back and one front spen and pull it up and all 4 dig'
This make any sense to anyone?

I used to have a Yanmar tractor that had a diff lock pedal. I have never seen one on a car.Think of all the linkages to lock two axles with one external lever. I think someones mistaken.

Perhaps he installed a pair of these?
http://www.offroaders.com/tech/ox-locker.htm Normally PTO stick is a little farther back on a 2a, I'm not sure on a 3b. |

PTO?
Crawl under the Jeep and look. May not be connected to anything and he's stretching the truth a little. |

Pictures of underside would help. Those levers look pretty much stock to me.

Yep and someone has no idea what they are talking about. Ask the guy for some photos of the posterior of the T case. Any evidence of PTO winch or rear mounted PTO? Lever position wise, there will be no difference in 3B's from 2A's or 3A's.
