Acquired this 60 pickup yesterday.  This will be the first project in the new garage we're having built.  Hoping to have it running in the next few weeks.

Found it on Craigslist north of Harrisburg.  It was listed along with a 56 parts truck.  I passed on the parts truck.

Nice! If you want to put a pickup bed on it I believe Walcks has a repro. I sometimes wish I had a pickup instead of Frances (see avatar). A closed cab would extend my season.

Finally had time to get the fuel lines, tank, and fuel pump straightened out and got this pickup running.  Has a dead miss.  I hope to diagnose the miss this weekend.fingers crossed.

Saw that on C-list. Glad someone here got it. Did you get a plow with it or just the pump and stuff up front?

I'm near York. Where abouts in SE PA are you?

It came with a complete plow setup.  Just checked spark and compression this weekend.  Good news is that there is spark at all cylinders.  Bad news is that there is zero compression in 1, 2 and 4.   I suspect valve train issues.  Hope to leak down test this week.

Valves might just be stuck open.

Beretta, That's exactly what I am hoping for..  Despite the miss, there are no knocking/tapping sounds present when running.

Turns out 1, 2 and 4 have stuck exhaust valves.  soaked in ATF last evening.  got 1 and 4 to move, but they continue to get re-stuck in open position.  #2 hasn't budged yet.  Will keep at it.

Just couldn't get #2 exhaust valve to budge after about a week of soaking.  Even tried heat to no avail.  Pulled head and manifolds.  Finally got it out, but bent valve and likely boogered the guide.  I will likely be pulling everything at this point in order to work on body.  I may try to create tools for a 6-226 like those employed by Roger in his post on removing and replacing valve guides in an l-head 4.
