Doing a little editing on some pics from our 2009 trip to Alaska and came across this workhorse now living at the transportation museum just outside Anchorage. Thought some might enjoy seeing.

Not a 3A that is a 3B 1953 or newer The 3A is a low hood.

No Dennis, I didn’t. To be honest we (four generations of men from my family all between ages 92 and 3 years) made this trip in 2009 with back pay from the VA (thank you very much!). It was even before I had found my 2a, knew I wanted one but never had the money or time or experience, and really didn’t even know the difference in models. Lot of rocks rolled in the river since then. Still don’t know much but at least my hards got dirty. Sorry I’m so slow in responding but lost my WiFi.

That is a great Museum. We spent several hours there in our 2009 or 2011 trip. I'm not sure which trip. They have vehicles from home built snow mobiles to air planes and helicopters and that is just outdoors.
