My neighbor acquired an amazing CJ-7 a couple years ago,  and came to me yesterday asking if I was interested in purchasing (or if I knew anyone).   He decided that he wants to pursue a different project,  and needs the garage space.  All he has done so far is wash the exterior, and rebuild the carb.   He said he did not want to take a chance of starting with crap gas,  so rebuilt carb,  and ran line to can attached to bumper.   His plan was to flush the tank and lines before starting for first time putting on road.   (it had been setting in garage for approx 5 years prior to him getting it)

I am SO TEMPTED,  but just not sure it is right for me.    I do not have the garage space to keep it out of weather,  and would be a shame to leave it outside.

This is one of those that hopefully does not get modified,  wheeled etc. and stays a well-preserved example of stock.

'82 CJ-7,  6-cyl,  auto, A/C, fairly loaded,  even factory toolbox behind rear seat  . . . it is just amazing how good it looks . .  it not restored,  just incredibly well presevered . .  never off-road . . over 100k miles,  but mostly highway driving between VA and LA

He is asking a fairly firm $5000,   located in central VA     Somebody please take this,  so I won't be tempted any more.

Wow! Ron, somebody stop me! That looks like an incredible deal, and while I can't do it, I may know a guy who will.
I will have my son contact him- he is in Greene Co. But often works in Madison.
