I've had a few forum members contact me about my '2A winch mount. I've made some drawings and saved them as PDF's, but don't know if there's a way to attach them to a post? It would be easier to post them for easy access to all, and not have to email them out all the time.

Click on the "File Upload" button. It is the button that looks like a zip file next to the "Insert Image" button.
Then browse to the pdf file you want to post. It will prompt you to upload it and give you a link to insert into your post. HTH

Thanks! Unfortunately, each of the individual PDF's are too large to upload (max file size of 200KB). Maybe there's a way to reduce the file size...

I'd hope so. How many pages? I have several pdfs uploaded and all are less than 30 kb.

There's only 5 pages; not sure why the file size is so large. I'll just save them as JPG's and upload them in the meantime.

Sign up for one of the several Web services that give you 1 to 5 gigabytes of free storage that you can then upload the pdf to and make public after which you can post a link to the pdf, and then you would not have to repeatedly email the files to people. Google Drive, Skydrive, Dropbox and Sugar Sync are several of which I am aware. In addition, many ISPs offer some amount of free Web space for their customers.
Edit: Oh, and how could I forget iCloud if you are into iThings! Edited by samcj2a - 30 Jan. 2013 at 4:38pm |

I was going to suggest you send PDF to me, and I could try to compress, but sounds like Sam fixed you up.
Now, what is the link? I would like to see this design! |

I saw that as soon as I went back to "new posts". Here is a compressed version, if ever needed in future. (we will see if Jpet's tip works for me, never tried anything other than .jpg before) |
