I wouldn't be surprised at all if there's a bullet under the gas tank. BW

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Well I haven't seen any bullet holes in this one yet. Unlike Kate's Karriage that has four 45 holes and a 22 hole in the tool box. I hope they got what ever they were shooting at.
I'm liking "Barney" too. As long as it's NOT a purple dinosaur. Maybe I can teach it to backfire once in a while, like a Barney Fife on patrol. I'm afraid that working on Barney will delay getting Jigsaw put together. Oh well, at least Nancy will know where I am for the next couple of years. I just hope no more friends call with good barn finds. I don't think I can take any more of this good fortune. If I were to call it "Nancy's Jeep" I'd really have to restore it so it would be as pretty as she is! And we'd have to have quilted seat covers, because Nancy is a quilter. And I'd have to replace the tool box with a tool basket, since she is also a basket maker. And I'd have to paint hearts all over it since she was born on Valentines Day, and hearts are her favorite graphic. Naw, it looks more like a Barney to me. (less work too!) I dunno, Mike. A "Nancy" jeep sounds pretty cool. Paint it bright red, hearts all over, quilted seats, tool baskets as you mentioned. Hmmmm.....call it Valentino. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it? What better way to get the ladies involved in jeeping than to have their own ladies jeep? I think you are on to something here Mike.

Case in point: I'm building a '50 3A for Annie... the parts bills for "her jeep" don't seem to get as much scrutiny as they did when building my M38, just sayin'

Now you guys are starting to scare me. Could you see one of these on the FCT?
https://goo.gl/images/LnIGGY I don't think Nancy would be caught dead in anything that looks like that. She looks awesome in the Blue Mule! |

Thanks Tom, I agree, she looks great in the Blue Mule. And no, pink is not her color. Bright red, like your jeep, is her color. Instead of a star on the hood we'd have to have a heart. Now as far as the rest of you guys, I'm feeling one leg get longer than the other because some of you are pulling on it pretty hard!! |

Tell Nancy I have a call in to Tom Selleck and Sam Elliot to be her crew. Maybe we can share.

Kate! Quit that! You got her all excited about the possibilities!! Now she's thinking that Sam Elliot would look great driving her red Jeep with the heart on the hood! And wearing his cowboy hat, and grinning under his moustache! JUST QUIT THAT!! |

Kate said, "A good looking mechanic to ride along ...." I was getting ready to tell her that I would be along if she needed me, but now if she needs help, I'll just say, "Let Tom Selleck fix it". BW

Mike with the longer leg on the down hill side you will be able to out run most every one. Just do not turnaround that would really put you off camber.

I would love to be on this trip but I'm more awake at 2AM than in the afternoon. I do have the Sam Elliot voice and I have the tools and knowledge. No I don't look like Tom Selleck. More like an old Harley rider
Have fun. Post pictures. |

Now Bruce, don't be that way, I'd be lost without you ... I see a resemblance around the mustache Mike, I will NEVER quit that! It's what sisters are for, being in cahoots with the wife! Gotta go, Tom is calling ..... |

Success!! The lift is operational!!
I had a lift maintenance guy look at my lift this afternoon. He found that the motor needed maintenance and some rewiring to make it work correctly. With his repairs we got the lift to work just as it's supposed to. So now we have another tool at the TDR for folks here for FCT. I am so happy after finally getting the lift working I can't stand myself! |
