My other one had the end break off down in the oil pump. not sure if you repair these.

I would just replace the shaft from a donor but rebuild your old before reinstall

I asked Carl Walck that at the Great Willys Picnic and He said I could not swap them.

Then you'll have to use the repro until you can find a proper shaft. Just don't open the hood for the Jeep Police before then.
