Does anyone know where I can get a distributor oiler? I need the tube with the flap. My distributor just has a hole in the side where it once was.

The oiler is either a flip top or a circular sleeve that pulls out. It open a access point were you put a few drops of engine oil. It lubes the distributor shaft bushings. It should be done about once a year. Kurt Edited by Willys Distributors - 24 Sep. 2017 at 2:35am |

Ken, after you get the distributor out look down through the hole and see how the slot in the oil pump is oriented pay attention to the direction of the oft sided slot in the pump. You will be able to see a thick and narrow side to the slot. This oft sided slot makes it so the distributor can only go in one way. With out letting the motor to turn just position the oil pump gear to the original position. You might have to try a few times to get it correct allowing for the helical spline to rotate the oil pump gear as it slides in, but all in all it isn't to hard to do. Good luck

Rule of thumb the old timers used was to drip a drop into it when checking oil level.
