Francccj2a,

I have been thinking someone should come up with a disc brake conversion as a upgrade for the standard drum parking brake.  You might do some web searches on the hot rod sites and see if that is something that would work for you.

Keep us posted.

I have fixed two of them on my transfer cases by cutting off an aircraft close tolerance bolt and drilling a hole. made a pin by cutting off a 1/8 drill bit - epoxied everything in place. worked great! I would think a grade 8 fine thread bolt would do. A die grinder or dremel with a cutoff wheel will work.
