Have a chance to pickup a complete but unassembled F134. It has been apart for quite some time. No observable cracks. Would this be worth $100 and try to rebuild as my first motor?

Why not? All of us started out from level 0 and have learned over time.
I suppose it depends on your skills as a mechanic and what tools you have.
I'm sure you have done a search to see what to check out.

Seems like you can't go too wrong for 100$, I'd check the bore size though 3.125 is std. bore, 0.60 is probably max over bore, also check valve seats for pitting. Good luck! Joe Wadoyado

For $100, I'd be on it!

Yup, i'd give it a go. Be worth it even if you break it apart and sell the parts...

Id do it i have about 4 F heads now in all different parts that are making one good one for my truck. For 100 you can't go wrong at all, .080 is max piston IIRC but at that size keeping it cool is a bit tricky i like the .060 max for me then sleeve it. The cam is different than a L head, is this a full engine with oil pump genny etc? Or is it a long or short block? Either way it should be a good buy.

Long block with all accessories and some extras too.  Only items known to be missing is the intake valve springs.  Those valves don't look so healthy either.

Here are pictures of the motor. Can I use a flex-hone to clean out cylinders? Any other suggestions for first time builder?

You could try a flex-hone.  It couldn't hurt.  If it doesn't clean things up, a machinist is likely your next stop.

That engine will require the full machine shop treatment. That crank needs grinding and the rear seal surface looks terrible. Best read up on rear seal grinding. There is a minimum diameter. Also not all shops can grind the narrow surface.
