The "Millitary: lube booklet shows that between the transmission and transfer case, 5 pints is used.
On my transexual 1955/1960/1949 Surrey Gala, 1945 Fake military jeep, I used almost a gallon between the two. Maybe 1 or two cups are left in the 1 gallon 90W oil container. Is this a difference between the T84 and T90? Dave |

That is about right for a T90. The service manual shows a capacity of 3 1/2 pints each, and that has been my experience. Someplace else I saw a capacity of 3 pints each, but as I recall I pumped over that.

Okay thank you! The spec publish on the main CJ2A page was a little confsuing to me. I think that spec is the combination of the transfer case and transmission. The on other dicuments, I see different number of pints specificed.
I am good then. I just expeected more remaining from the gallon of gear oil. I am sure glad I bought a gallon and not the quart!!
Now to putz with changing the pumkins oil sometime.
