    Posted: 10 June 2012 at 7:18pm
Hello
I looking for some picts about the original spare wheel lock Willys part number 666628? The lock nut spare wheel is A-1318 in 3/4.
I have one NOS original spare wheel lock for willys jeep with A-1318 nut and H700 key, and I would like to compare if the spare wheel lock 666628 is different or similar to the military one?Wink
Thanks in advance
Christopher

This will not help but I have a 1950 W/O dealers accessories list and the spair tire lock is listed as #670343. priced at $3.50 list, dealer cost was $2.03, the dealers were sticking it to the customers back then as well, LOL, Lee

I don't have them, just posted the part numbers from the parts list, so it's clear they are not the same parts.

Considering the early one uses the smaller military nut, it may be identical to the MB unit, just painted black vs OD.

Sean
I think you are right, look this pict about an original page of the official Willys accessories print in 1949.
This spare wheel lock is very similar to the military one except the chain but the rivet is here, and key brand Yale CH571 the military one has an key H700.
What do you think about my supposition?

I have that turn signal switch in the pic above. It came out of a 3B.
