I'm looking for a frame for my 48 cj2a. the one I have is beyond repair. I have searched the web and found a web site, willysjeepparts.com. On their web site, they show a frame assembly for the MB,GPW and CJ2a. the price for this thing is 2,450.00. I telephoned the 800 number and spoke with someone who says the frame is a reproduction of the original from the factory. This has raised a red flag meaning that; is this the only place in the United States that sells new reproduction frame assemblies. These guys are located in Yuma Arizona. Can anyone help verify this information, thanks...

They arent the only place selling the frame, more than likely it is either mdjuan or omix ada, available through many distributors....
Craigslist or ebay might be a better option to locate an original in usable condition.... Patience grasshopper.... Lol |

I'm not aware of a CJ2A repro frame. The MB/GPW frame is different and not compatible except with very early CJ2As.

All reproduction frames are manufactured by MD Juan. Call the following vendors for the most up to date product and pricing.
https://www.dlbensinger.com/ https://www.vintagejeeps.com/ Both vendors are great to deal with and are direct importers for the products. Omix-ADA is a distributor who drop ships for almost all other vendors. Also, check out the following video for a good explanation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIGsrNkq2yY Edited by danover321 - 23 Oct. 2015 at 3:07pm |

I don't think that is a 2A frame. No gussets on frame horns, no strapping on top of frame rails.
Do your own research - sometimes the seller is just repeating what he was told. |

I have a 47 frame in Ohio that I'd take $150 for, but of course the shipping would kill you.

there's a pair of CJ2A frames out here for sale on CL as well. Also in the $200 area. Shipping may hurt, but they'd be a far cry from $2500

Just asking a question here. Personally I would try to find an original. Once you start using a lot of many reproduction parts made overseas is it really an old CJ2A Jeep? I had my 46 frame repaired, body tube was repaired with U.S. Made and Chrysler approved parts. It just seems in my own opinion once you start using complete Frame and Tub Replacements it just loses the feel. They are out there on CL and other sites and forums.
