Jon, your revitalized Go-Devil looks great, nice work all around. What type and brand of paint did you use on the engine?

I got the engine off the stand and on to a dolly so I can get the flywheel attached before the engine gets mounted.
I am going to reuse my pressure plate and flywheel So I cleaned them up today too. |

You don’t seem to have enough holes for mounting the throttle linkage. Am I missing something.

I plugged the hole prior to painting to keep the threads clean.
Just hadn’t pulled the plug at the time.

I recently took my collection of radiators to Fraser Valley Radiator in Langley to have them checked out. I told him I only need one good one in the end. We’ll see how it goes. Hopefully the first one he checks is the good one. I’m still waiting for the generator and starter to be finished as well. No rush however. Slow and steady.

I got my rebuilt radiator back today from Fraser Valley Radiators. They took the best parts of 2 radiators to make one. Looks pretty good to me.
Leftover parts.... |

FLYING ALONG?
More like crawling along Andy. But thanks. I am having trouble getting the master cylinder lined up properly on the after market mount so I filled in the holes on the mount so I can measure and position it properly. Remounted so I can measure where the hole needs to go. |

Mike F,
You were right about the hole missing for the accelerator linkage bracket. I thought I had it plugged for painting but when I went to attach the bracket turns out there is actually a bolt broken off in there and I don’t have the proper sized extractor. Good eye!

I cleaned up my big pile of spare parts today and got it all sorted in to bins which I have now labeled. It’s way better than the mixed up hodgepodge pile of boxes and pails full of stuff I started with. Should make it easier to find stuff. I found a PCV valve that I needed and spent some time cleaning it up. Before... After... Cleaned... Separated... (orientation is wrong) Like Mike said, that was a bugger to take apart. One wrench held in the vise and two hand pull with the other to get it to split open. Cleaned and ready for assembly (correct orientation of parts).... Edited by 92889 - 03 Feb. 2019 at 7:41am |

I get lucky sometimes. Had the same problem. Pretty small for an extractor. I used a smaller left hand drill bit. Things are looking great by the way. I had wrenches on one of those PCV’s before. Pulled on em until I was convinced they don’t come apart. But there it is.
