I know the purest out there are flipping out about painting the frame /suspension black. Sorry my trailer, my money, my project. The tires and rims are being changed as well. Rims are going on my 1943 Bantam trailer. |

Patience is important.
Initially, I think you could get it apart if you go slow and soak. The metal parts may be salvageable. Until you find a lens, you could look for a replacement that fits. Measure yours then start looking. There are several on ebay you might be able to use. PM SENT.

I had to soak the whole thing in vinegar/water solution, then the screws would turn.
By the way, was is the 'purists' painting. I've seen them painted black and tub color. Was the axel and suspension not painted black? Edited by mickeykelley - 18 Sep. 2016 at 2:04am |

Everything was the body color (frame, springs, axles, rims, tub, and all) That is also the correct later tail lamp.

Everything was red. Someday in the future it may become red again.
Is there a ready replacement for the spring ubolts? |

They should be the same as the 3 smaller diameter front spring ubolts of a CJ2a.
I got mine at Walcks. As far as the tail light...I media blasted all the components and replaced one of the bulb connectors, wire and spring with a Napa bulb connector off the shelf. Edited by HCAT - 23 Sep. 2016 at 3:30am |

Thanks HCAT. Your help is appreciated.
I think I have a line on a trailer body, it's an M100 tho. Not sure if I should put my parts on it or use it's parts for mine. |
