We just got confirmation that Hugo Vidal has agreed to come and do the Saturday dinner presentation. David Eilers has graciously moved his presentation to Saturday afternoon. This was the original plan, but Hugo was not sure he could make it. If you don't know who Hugo Vidal is, he did the "Operation Pineapple" in 1955, traveling from Brazil, through mexico through the U.S. through canada, to Alaska, back to the US, down to Cuba and back to Brazil in a 1955 CJ3B.

Hello Everyone!

Just completed sending in registration for the Willys get-together so there will be a few more of those Easterners coming from the Keystone State for all the fun and learning opportunities! My son Caleb is getting more and more active with Boy Scouts, 4-H, soccer etc. but he still LOVES the old Jeeps and wants us to keep doing shows like this one. (He's always a big fan of the Willys Summer Picnic too).
If you have a chance to bring some young folks along to the show make it happen - whether they be kids, grandkids, neighbors kids... it's a chance to preserve our JEEP history for the future and pass it on to the next generation. The more the merrier! Goodness knows there are more Jeep projects to do than we all have the time, $$, and energy to do! lol

Travel safely - see ya all before we know it!

Collecting any/all Kaiser/Frazer/JEEP literature/handouts/toys etc.

We will be sending another e mail out soon with updated info on it. Here's a photo of my jeep and Bob M's Tux Park at the Piston Power Show in Cleveland last weekend. We handed out 500 fliers to anyone interested.

That Tuxedo Park is neat!

Doesn't look like a big turnout.

That was taken during the load in on Weds. There were 1500 cars and hordes of people all weekend. I probably spent 40 hours there. That tux has 33k mi on the clock.

Well ya know I was really kinda joking......I figured at least one or two more probably showed up before it was over.

How many other Jeeps were there?

I've been trying to find a place to wheel before the reunion but I just keep hitting dead ends.

Southington is close, but it looks like they are only open on Saturday and Sunday, and only on scheduled weekends (our weekend not being one of them). I've left several messages, but they won't return my calls.

Powerline Park is a couple hours away but again, only scheduled weekends. Pretty much every offroad facility in the area is only open on scheduled weekends.

Wellsville seems like a place with minimal rules, but I just can't get any information or a person of contact.

..... unless someone from the northern Ohio or western Pennsylvania area has a suggestion, I'd say we won't be doing any wheeling at the Spring Reunion.

Northeast Ohio is not really a hotbed of off roading opportunities, that's for sure.

I tried a little today also,  but getting similar results . .  I have some friends and family in the area . . . but so far, not a lot of ideas, unless we want mud (NOT ME) . .   I have not heard back from a couple of the most promising prospects,  but even these private areas are probably long shots.

I'll do some more checking today.

If push comes to shove, it doesn't bother me to come farther east and meet you on the way. I'd even go to Rausch Creek again if you want to.
