So I got these new wiper seals for the knuckles on my front end. What I can’t figure out is how they go on. Does anyone have the definitive word on what order they go in?
Here are the pieces. Does the rubber side go closest to the ball, then felt, then holder/bracket like this? Or does it go like this with the slightly inset metal part of the rubber piece closest to the ball like this? Or does the felt piece go closest to the ball like this? |

I've been soaking my felt wipers with silicone brake fluid before installing.

Anyone notice that video has been viewed like 83.750 times!!!! Thats a lot of closed knuckle axles out there being worked on. Even if everyone doing this watched the video multiple times.
I'm thinking old Jeeps are a pretty healthy hobby. |
