removed guides I had installed in the wrong place, reinstalled 4 into the correct location to match the
E-I-I-E-E-I-I-E positions. I had installed several into the ol macdonald location...E-I-E-I-Oh crap  Just shows if your not paying attention crap happens. Thanks Bruce for the 2nd set of eyes checking my work, LOL

Been busy at work and finally got the valves in the correct position and hand lapped them, then this afternoon began reassembly of the new valves, new springs. Weather warmed up to 59 degs and humidity up to. Rain coming in tomorrow morn. Picking up my Felpro gasket set tomorrow. so maybe I'll be able fire it up this weekend.

Here's a quick reminder of where this this started several years ago...

Made a little progress today, still need to clean off the head to be ready for installation. Felpro kit says to use my favorite sealer on the metal side of the new head gasket. What is y'alls favorite product?

" What is y'alls favorite product?"

Spray Copper-Coat. The same stuff is available under two or three different names, all having "Copper" in them. I spray both sides.   BW

Working at home today, LOL, installed head and buttoned it all up

I checked the tappets and adjusted all to .014" while engine was open.

Now to let it all cool down and retorque the head and adjust several tappets and I'm done!

Chillin after the test drive
