I enjoyed the pictures of the jeeps and scenery so much, I had to go through them twice. Thanks for sharing. You dont see that in Jersey.

Your welcome Rob. That was a Blast, just wished you felt better Sunday. I too look forward to this every year. Alan it is a great group and I would love to add you to the group. I did eat to much though but that's half the fun. Now I need to get my other Jeep done as my grand kids have all but kicked me out of mine.

2 Weeks, can't wait. Nolan and I did a ton of yard work and spring cleaning this weekend to get the place already. He even gave the old jeep a bath. Hope to see you all here in a couple of weeks.

Hello everyone! Im looking forward to seeing everyone here in a couple weeks. Though we had a fire I don't think this place can be anything but beautiful. We went up on a few jeep rides in the last month and i have some pictures to get everyone excited. I can't wait to see everyone again and hopefully we get a few who have never came!

We'll retire there. We've been looking at the southern coast for years and a place popped up last fall that we couldn't pass up. My mom is from the Portland area and she loved the coast all her life. I blame her for my own affliction. :)
The place is an old shack, but it was built by a married Coast Guard guy so he wouldn't have to live in the nearby barracks at the Life Boat station. When the station closed in 1970, the last commander bought it and retired there. We figure that if the place was good enough for him then it would work for us too! We haven't actually tested that theory yet. I don't think Port Orford has a single traffic light and I just love that! We're moving from an area with over a million people around us. It's too crowded for me. I'm from a similar small town in Montana. |
