Understand, same thoughts - wish I hadn't sold a '48 and a '63 I had back in HS. But, water under the bridge. Maybe that's why I can't seem to sell any now - sellers remorse.

I sold my first 2A to buy a CJ5 with a 258 in it. That was one great jeep. It would do 100 and pull anything out of anywhere, got pissed at it one day and sold it because the fuel would run out of the tank. Wish I had the 48 and 71 back today.

My 1971. Put an earlier grill in it because I like the tiny turn signals. Edited by wheelie - 27 Dec. 2018 at 10:26pm |

So true! Although the previous owner put a second fuel tank in my Jeep so I am able to go to every other gas station!

If my math is right, 3-304, 3-258 & 2-232 from the factory. Pretty even.

304 from the factory. A few years before I found it a 360 from a Wagoneer was put in.

Survey ? 304, 258 or 232 in your AMC Jeep?
(Mine has a 304. The one bought new in '75 had a 258)

Thanks for the kind words. Nope, Im blessed in that its been an AZ Jeep its entire existence so no rust anywhere. And even though keeping it garaged when not in use, its finally starting to show some primer on the hood. Let the patina begin! Mike
