Yup that was mine. No I didn't have a weighted bumper. it was the first time that the magazine ever published a cover photo from other than the front though.

Wrongway, is that Jeep in your avatar yours?
I remember it from an article in 4wd and Sport Utility way back! If I remember correctly it was running 36" swampers. Did it also have a front bumper full of lead? I remember someone in ND running a flatty with lead in the front bumper to help climb. |

Oh, the Weldits were the worst... growing up they lived next door, and on the same street we had the Cutits, the Spliceits AND the patriarchs the Didits . The annual block party was horrific, especially any year their cousins the Paintedits were in town... those boys could drink
...they made good chili, though

The roll bar was welded to the frame by a guy named Bubba Weldit it was a fire jeep here in the Black Hills. it ended up in Norfolk NE. for awhile until I bought it at auction and brought it back home to The Hills..
