ggordon49,

From the pictures it has lot of 1948ishness!  This is actually a real gem of a 1948!  Lots of the little cosmetic stuff is still there!  My guess is it is earlier than your other 1948.

When you go and see this tonight - take a picture of the Dana 25 cover on the front axle and get a picture of the footman loop welded to the top of the windshield - if you would.

Also look at the bellcrank.

I see some evidence of rust damage on the bottom of the tub. I would have a real good look at the hat channels and the floorboard. Assuming that you could live with that and don't mind the price it might be attractive as a fixer upper. It would be difficult to get that much jeep for less most of the time without dealing with all kinds of issues. Let's hope the engine runs well...not slipping out of second gear would be a definite plus.

I agree, looks like some fiberglass or something on the floors... I will be checking second, that's for sure Wink I would like to stress to the owner that it does need work, I hope they are willing to negotiate..

If, by the grace of God, I do get this, mbullism it getting some new taillights in the mail Big smileLOL

If its DOESN'T pop out of second gear, I'd be concerned that someone welded it to the mainshaftLOL

With my eyesight I’d need a telescope to see that side mirror war up on the fender.

Seems like a lot of good stuff there.
Look under the right rear quarter where the spare should be. Sure to be some patching there.
I wonder what that is against the steering column by the dash?
Lots of holes in the tailgate. Probably had some cans hanging there.
I wonder if those side panel patches were for rust, or just to cover up the drain hole?

Just noticed there are no windshield wipers. but there is what looks like a Harrison heater hanging under the dash.

I'd take a close look at that hunk of angle iron sticking out under the passenger side.  That tub is gonna need a LOT of work.  Take points away for that "All original" line in the ad.
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable
